Sessegnon, a £25million summer arrival from Fulham, has returned to training after recovering from a hamstring injury which has kept him out all season.

Club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele, who has missed Spurs’ last two games with a thigh problem, is also in line to feature against the Eagles having returned to fitness.

Meanwhile, Kyle Walker-Peters and Eric Dier are also being assessed for selection after returning to training from hamstring and hip issues respectively.

However, Giovani Lo Celso has been ruled out with a hip injury until next month.

The Real Betis loanee was being eased into the team with three substitute appearances after a busy summer at the Copa America.

But the 23-year-old suffered a setback while on international duty with Argentina.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “Always it’s a sad situation, very disappointed.

“For Giovani, the first months here was to adapt to a new club and new football. Everything he was doing in a very good way. We are all so disappointed because now we need to wait for him.

“Nothing that I can tell you will change his reality. We’re all disappointed, first the Argentine national team are very sad. We’re all really sad. We cannot change the situation.
