Indonesian side has turned down an opportunity to sign Filipino midfielder from SpVgg Greuther Fürth due to a lack of transfer fund, according to reports.

Schrock is currently plying his trade at Filipino club , on loan from Greuther Fürth. The German-Filipino player has come into Madura United’s attention recently, as Indonesian midfielder Andik Vermansyah personally recommend him to Madura’s manager Haruna Sumitro.

But the Indonesian club failed to materialize a deal for Schrock due to Greuther Fürth’s high asking price.

“Andik Vermansyah told me that if Madura was looking for an Asian player, we should make a move for Stephan Schrock. Andik met him when his team played against Ceres”, Haruma told local newspapers.

“We have reached an agreement with him, but we failed to sign him due to a very high asking fee”, he added.
